Hotel Floor Plans, Room Numbers, Views & Interconnecting Doors
My brain wave just now while sitting at the pool: Hotel Floor Plans, Room Numbers, Views & Interconnecting Doors.
Fact one
Facebook is promoting it's "Groups" functionality heavily at the moment
It's basically "special interest groups" that it does by matching your profile (it's an AI based match) with groups that are made by anyone - in an effort to get engagement. Having a lot of success with this for B&B.co.uk and also using it as a User - I joined the Corfu group to get information about Ferry tickets.
So Facebook doing the marketing basically for you if you have a Facebook Group, because it increases engagement with the site.
Fact two
We doing this big tour now; France, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece. Then we will take a ferry back up the Adriatic, loop into Slovenia (see Bella & Kirst), and the back via James' villa in Antibes, and then back home.
One problem we have with the kids is I want to see the layout of the hotel so we can get 1 good room (say with sea view) and 1 cheaper room (with garden view) for example -- the kids can be there - they don't look up from their phones all day. In the old days there was also no indication of if that room had an interconnecting door or not.
No hotel gives layout in the marketing. It is "Sea view" or "Deluxe sea view" or whatever.
But they I realised they DO give layout... there's a floor plan for the fire escape in EACH room
Fact Three third (money making)
Anyone can sign up with booking.com and they will give you a link that if someone else clicks the link and makes a hotel booking, you will get a commission.
So combining all these...
I created a public group, members post room number, floor plan, and view from window, and their own personal booking.com link. When anyone searches Facebook for the hotel name it will come up somewhere and if they click the link the members will all make $$

What are you waiting for? Start contributing to the group, find your perfect room(s), and maybe make a few dollars in the process.
